Design 2164 Thunderhead



Not to be confused with the Phillip Rhodes designed, A&R built wooden sloop that bears the same name (and is regularly seen sailing in Maine waters), this Thunderhead was designed and built for the same owner but years later. Thunderhead was constructed of aluminum and built by Robert E. Derecktor. She was launched in 1974.

The boat is a direct development of Charisma and Yankee Girl in terms of hull shape.

Here are the plans. It's an unusual arrangement for sure.
