Cresta III Design 1034

Cresta II was designed and built for Cristian Fischbacher of St. Gallan, Switzerland, of the Fischbacher textile family. The boat was built by Abeking & Rasmussen of Lemwerder, Germany and launched in 1953. Her scantlings are typical: white oak backbone, white oak laminated frames, mahogany planking and teak decks.

She was owned for a time by a friend of the company and made her home in Connecticut. In 2004 she attended our 75th Anniversary event at Mystic Seaport. Her styling is quite unique in terms of the pilothouse window shape.

Here are the plans. You can see from the general arrangement that she is clearly set up for paid crew.
